Posted years later. I spent from December 31st 2004 to January 4th 2005 in Denver, attending a friend's wedding (at which I was one of the best men) and visiting relatives in the area. I don't have a write-up for this trip; all I have online is these password protected pictures from the wedding.
I liked downtown Denver, although it felt small, like the size of Calgary.
I also went on a nice snowy hike in the mountains with my aunt.
