* Legal Debate: Assumptions on medical malpractice called into question (Science News). Politicians talk at times about putting limits on medical malpractice claims. It seems these limitations are likely inappropriate and actually unnecessary.
* Sharing the Health: Cells from unusual mice make others cancerfree (Science News). A better title for this article might be: Scientists Discover Mighty Mouse! And Mighty Mouse's cancer-fighting abilities are hereditary.

Unfortunately, the lab that has the "mighty mice" has so far refused to sharea them with other labs. Thus their results cannot be independently verified, and more importantly, the research to find cures for cancer is slowed.

One must assume that the lab is either lying about their results, or is extrememly academically vain, when they selfishly refuse to share this exciting resource with the general scientific community.

Sad. I wasn't aware of the refusal to share data. That definitely makes me wonder.
